Found in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Glassy Mountain Chapel (The Cliffs at Glassy) is by far one of my favorite wedding ceremony sites I’ve ever shot at. Living in the Carolinas for the last 11 years, you would think I’ve visited before, but nope – this was a lovely first for me. Nestled on top of Glassy Mountain, it’s an amazing place for a ceremony – during busy season, they may host 3 weddings in one day.. I can see why.
It was the perfect winter dream being enveloped in fog on Hannah and Josh’s February wedding day. Seeing the mountain views would have been great, sure.. but I love the hug of fog we got instead – it felt intentional. Those 30 minutes for portraits were serene and calm and I had to pinch myself. Here I was documenting these dear moments for them.
Speaking of perfect.. can we talk about the florals? Laura (Laura Michelle Florals) and her team were incredible. South Wind Ranch was covered head-to-toe in pinks and pampas grass and orchids and allllll the bohemian vibes. I couldn’t get enough!
Everyone partied all night to Steel Toe Stiletto – cannot recommend a live band enough. It changes the whole dynamic of a reception!
Documenting a wedding day, newborns, families, couples in love.. it is not something I take lightly. The weight of the work is never, ever lost on me. Hannah and Josh trusted me to preserve their big day and it will forever be my honor *still pinching myself*
